A little bit about me...
I am a Production student at The Guildhall at SMU in Plano, Texas. Before coming to The Guildhall, I attended Texas Tech University (as did my wife, my parents, my grandfather, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins). While at Tech I received my Bachelor's in Computer Science.
The thing I enjoy most about production is knowing that I removed an obstacle that the team may not have even known was there. Visually, I imagine Production like this: A car is driving down a road. Previously, this road had a speed bump on it which I removed. Because I removed it, the car is allowed to simply drive on through, unhindered and most likely unaware of what was there before.
That is the best part about production in my mind.
I do whatever needs to be done to allow developers to stay focused on making a fun game without having to get bogged down with paperwork and such things. I put in extra hours to keep the developers from spending time away from the game. I do this because helping the team solve problems and removing obstacles from their path is what I find the most fulfilling.
